Dial Up Down Time & Photo TAG!

What to do while waiting for internet sites to download because you have dial-up?

Usually I run around cleaning or doing laundry. However work this week is kicken my butt, so I've been doing a little crafting to relax a bit.

Spray painted this from green to white and then made.....

This....

4th of July banner.

Letter "A" - Oh how I love AMERICA

I wasn't actually born in this wonderful country. Everyone else in my family was though. My parents were serving an LDS church building mission (that's how the church built the churches 43+ years ago. They had members build them) and before returning to the states they had their fourth of six children (me).

My mom recorded that when the plane landed she was so happy to be home in the United States of America, she wanted to kiss the black top at the airport! Love that story.

Tonight, I CLEAN! While waiting.... & waiting.... & waiting.... & waiting....

PHOTO TAG from Xazmin
Open your first file and share your 10th picture in that file.
OKAY...I cheated. You've already seen that photo, so I shared the 10th photo from my second folder.

My parents 50th wedding anniversary 2 years ago. My oldest son is standing in the water with his Beatles shirt one and hands in his pocket. Cousins are waiting for the next dare devil to ride the zip line down into the water. It was a fun day.
I TAG: Janice my sister at One Dat at a Time to share her 10th photo from her first folder.
Put this on pillow: This Saturday, do something you have wanted to do for years. Something just for yourself. And repeat this process once every month. ~Denis Waitley (who is this guy? I like his idea though. I'm going to give it a try!!! I'll let you know what I do. If you do something like this on Saturday let me know.... I'd love to hear about it.)

Hello!! I really like the candle holder you painted. I guess you would call it a candle holder. It is really pretty. I like how you spiced it up. Your banner turned out really cute. As always a wonderful job!!
Oh, thanks for tagging me. I guess I can't tag you back though.
I can't wait to see what picture comes up. I hope it is a good one.
I almost called you just now, but then I looked at the time.

Love your fourth decorations! I wish we had a day like that over here. We do, actually, St George's day but it's not a holiday or anything and hardly even gets noticed!

LOVE your 4th of July things. It's fun to see how other people decorate for the holidays!!

I wish I could "twitch my nose" and make you computer hooked up to DSL.

I can sure relate and remember very well the days of dial-up where it takes ALL night you can practically finish major projects while trying to open up attachments and connect to websites.

All I can say is you are a patient soul who still posts and is the queen of commenting even with dial-up.

Have a FUN 4th of July celebration with your family!! It's such a fun time of year!

You must be "remote" girlie. I seriously want to see this "no sidewalk" place you live. I'm sure it's just as cute as you are in person!

I love that you made the candlestick white, and the banner is darling!!

Cute banner and bird pedestal.
Where were your parents serving their mission when you were born?
