The perfect quote for my summer journal. Not a lot of vacation days to use for the summer...I'm organizing myself, setting goals, and trying to enjoy what I can on my spare minute.
It's the back of this adorable notebook that somewhat shared how I was feeling the day I found this cute little book . The very day I was trying to decide how I could squeeze summer into not much time.

"It is here whre she must begin to tell her story."
In the back of my summer of 2010 notebook I made my summer reading list. And on another page, my summer goals.
*Get a Pedicure *Visit the zoo *go on a hike *Enjoy a picnic or two *Take more pictures *Enjoy my surroundsing & the people in it *Go on a bike ride at least once a week *Learn 2 new things about each member of my family *Float on the Bear River *Read the Book of Mormon *Diligently work on my Personal Progress *Love *Spend a weekend with my sisters *Drive to Vernal *Eat at the Buritto or Hog dog vendor in Ogden with my son *Ride the train from Ogden to Salt Lake
The trick is to document as much of this summer as I can. It helps me realize what a good summer I'm having without much vacation time.
I'm enjoying my bike rides. I take my camera and try to be more aware of the smells, beauty, and people that I see.
Come on...... take a spin with me.

OH WAIT.... Yes there is an incredibly handsome man and his dog following us!
Seriously....can you believe this???
East of my home, it's hay hauling season....makes my eyes water and nose run. This is one of many big green tractors that will pass us as we pedal along.

There are many more places to see on our bike rides. However when you ride with me you have to pedal slow. We won't be able to see it all in one day.
Put this on a pillow: Life, believe, is not a dream So dark, as sages say; Oft a little morning rain fortells a pleasant day. ~Charlotte Bronte, 1846

OK, is that Bear Lake that's just a few miles from you! Whatever it is, it's beautiful!
It's good to have a journal. Great quotes! I hope you can fill that journal right up and be able to do the things on your list!
You're lucky to have such handsome men in your life! ;D
If I lived with you, I would join you in that bike ride!!!
That looks like a lot of fun...the journaling and the bike ride...I am so loving summer too! Lucky you to have handsome men following along! :D
I like your summer journal. I've seen summer bucket lists, too. I guess we just need to make time for memories! Nice post.
Sounds like a great plan. I probably should have done this too. I'm feeling like summer is over half way over and I've done nothing...which probably isn't true, but it's hard to remember everything you do. It's good to have you back :)
This is such a great idea! I need some summer goals!
Super cute journal.. and I adore the pretty scenery around you!
I'll peek through the net though.. as I get bad hay fever as well!
Glad to see ya back lady! I look forward to October!!! :)
Love the journal and your bike ride looks glorious!
You really do have beautiful scenery out at your neck of the woods. I love your summer journal...some great ideas that I should maybe try to implement...
Mary
Nice!! I would like to run this...with you carrying my water and chocolate of course. And you would have to pedal REALLY REEEALLY slow.
Oh Sandra, it's so great to see you on a regular basis again. Have fun with your summer list.
I get a new baby this summer. The best part is...it's not mine. It's my daughter's.
Can't wait to see little baby Chamberlain.
You can come and float on the Bear with me! My kids think we need to go boating every night.
YAY, I'm so glad you're back and SO glad you are enjoying your summer.
I love your happy and positive attitude!
More people need to follow your example and realize that "life is a journey" and you need to enjoy each and every moment you can and that it truly is all of the LITTLE things that make life so big!!
There is nothing more wonderful than enjoying simple pleasures and most of the greatest things in life don't require money, or vacation days.
You are so happy and upbeat and I hope that someday I get the privilege of getting to meet you!
I as well, don't have much vacation days for summer...I'm using them to take off time for kids activities during the school year, first week of school activities, our yearly hike and the blogger retreat in October.
Your journal will be such a treasure to you and your family when you look back in future years and read all of the things you enjoyed and accomplished at this stage of your life!!
I wish I lived closer and I would love to enjoy some great bike rides with you. It's so beautiful living out in the country and I enjoyed your pictures you shared!!
Hope your week and summer is enjoyable and memorable as you fill up your journal pages and accomplish your goals!
Hi Sandra,
Thanks for the well wishes for the little "couple" at our house. We're plenty busy over here these days.
I was very sorry to read of your mom's passing. My goodness, that was so sudden and unexpected. My mom, too, passed away in June. The poor thing, she suffered so much, due to Alzheimer's. I think my mom would have preferred to go like your sweet mother. But we all know that the Lord knows best. I hope your dad is doing alright. I'll say a little prayer for him tonight.
Take care,
Mary Lou
Such a great quote for your journal.
Beautiful lake!
